Achieve Hormonal Balance Naturally
Hormonal balance is important for your well being. Regardless if a condition, environmental toxins, the stresses of life or natural aging has affected your hormonal balance; bio-identical hormones can help you restore it naturally. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is remarkably safe and effective when prescribed by a knowledgeable physician. We invite you to discuss with our specially trained physicians if BHRT is right for you.
Not All Hormones are the Same
Most mass produced hormonal products by large pharmaceutical manufacturers are analogues. This means that they are not 100% similar to what your body produces naturally. Most studies in the field of hormone replacement therapy do not use bioidentical hormones, and may contribute to the observed side effects of (patented) hormone replacement therapy. Bioidentical hormones are molecule for molecule identical to what your body produces naturally, as such they are far easier for your body to metabolize. Being no different from the hormones produced by your endocrine organs, bioidentical hormones are also safer, as it is what you body needs and uses all the time.
Analogue hormones were developed despite the availability of natural hormones because natural products cannot be patented. In other words, there is little profits to selling bioidentical hormones. It is no surprise then, that (patented) hormone replacement therapy was stopped in its tracks when multiple studies revealed significant side effects such as increased risk for cancer. We have no doubt that (patented) hormone replacement therapy is toxic for most people, and discourage their use.
However, properly compounded bioidentical hormones do not have the same risks. Replacing the exact same hormone that your endocrine organs are producing is most definitively safe, especially when they are used for the right indications as determined by a physician well trained in BHRT.
Hormones also cannot be used in isolation, as hormonal balance is like a symphony. For example, there are three primary types of estrogen: estradiol, estriol and estrone. Estradiol, when given in isolation with progestin (patented hormone) is a known cause of cancer. However, combining the 3 types of estrogen as it is done naturally in our bodies, has the following effects:
- Reduced overall risk of heart diseases by 40-50%
- Increases HDL by 10-15%
- Enhanced energy & mood
- Improved concentration
- Maintains bone density
- Improved libido
- Reduce risk of glaucoma
Avoid Health Problems Due to Hormonal Imbalance
It is perhaps important to emphasize that the “benefits” of BHRT is not something you gain from using bioidentical hormones. Rather the correct interpretation is that leaving your hormonal system in disarray, makes you susceptible to health problems.
BHRT restores hormonal balance when your endocrine system is no longer capable of keeping up. While ideally we would want to maintain perfect health and keep our endocrine system intact, the realities of modern life means that many of us fall short of this ideal. This is where BHRT comes in, giving us another chance of having an intact hormonal system, and the natural health benefits when your body is working optimally. This is why BHRT is applicable to all ages and no one should need to suffer the health consequences of a failing endocrine system.
Hormones Regulate both the Body & Mind
The primary function of hormones is cell to cell communication. Many health issues related to the mind are also related to hormonal balance. An incomplete list of health issues that BHRT can benefit include:
- ADHD / ADD
- Weight gain / loss
- Eating disorders
- Mood disorders / depression & anxiety
- Poor libido / Vaginal Dryness / erectile dysfunction
- Sleep disorders / insomnia
- Energy regulation – sensitivity to hot or cold
